Bioenergy has an experienced design and integration team with over 100 years combined gasification and renewable energy experience and is partnered with manufacturing partners with significant global presence and access to leading component suppliers. Our technology is licensed from Monte Cristo Gasifiers and manufactured to BEG specifications in Germany on an exclusive basis. Through contract manufacturing we have ability to scale quickly to the demand for systems.
THE TECHNOLOGY
The technology, developed by Monte Cristo Gasifiers, is derived from an exclusive world-wide commercialisation licence from Texas A&M University. It has been successfully tested with a wider variety of feedstocks than any gasification technology developed to date, including: manures, sludges, plastics, tyres and refuse derived fuel (RDF). The bio-reformer units come in sizes from 125KWh, 500KWh through to 2MWh and are ideally suited to many waste disposal purposes being efficient, environmentally friendly, as well as, producing high quality syngas for heat and electricity production. Larger solutions are provided by running our bio-reformers in parallel for a cost-effective solution.
The core of the Bioenergy bio-reformer is a fluidized bed gasifierfollowed by a proprietary gas clean up system that produces a gas with a high methane content suitable for operation in CHP gensets. The system produces both hot water and electricity and emissions are similar to gensets operating on natural gas. Feedstocks with a minimum of 5mj/kg of calorific energy and moisture content less than 20% can be reformed with the system, lending itself to the conversion of refuse derived fuel from municipal sourced waste (MSW). Carbon sequestration technology can be added to reduce carbon emissions to zero if required.

Monte Cristo Gasifiers is a company based in Nebraska, USA and owned by David Blythe who is a founder shareholder and Technology Director of Bioenergy. Monte Cristo has patent protections through a new patent application that covers enhanced gas composition, gas conditioning and heat recovery of the Monte Cristo Technology
Bioenergy Group has an exclusive licence for the deployment of the Monte Cristo Gasifier technology.
Manufacturing Partners
The bio-reformer systems are assembled and certified in Germany by ASM Dimatec under license from Monte Cristo Gasifiers. The major components like instrumentation, control systems, pumps, valves and motors are sourced from well known German suppliers and carry the full manufacturers warranties. Fabricated components are built and certified in accordance with all fabrication standards and laws. Fabricated components have a 3-year warranty. Complete systems are CE certified to ensure safe operations.
ROBERT MITCHELL
Chairman – Strategy and partnerships
Robert has had a twenty-seven-yearcareer as a fund manager having worked for Framlington Investment Management and F&C Asset Management, before leaving to become joint founder of the specialist smaller companies investment boutique, Bluehone Investors LLP, in 2005. Robert has considerable experience of investing in smaller companies, both public and private, having invested in over 250 companies. He has been involved in AiM, the UK’s junior market, since its inception and helped launch and run The AiM Trust PLC as well as two AiM VCTs and other SME investment funds. During his career Robert has gained experience of board decision-making;corporategovernance, audit, nomination and remuneration committees; strategic input; communication with institutional investors, nominated advisers and brokers; the fundraising process; preparation for IPOs; disciplinary hearings and executive change management. Hehas wide sector knowledge having made successful investments across mostsectors including the resource sector. Robert is former non-executive director of Water Intelligence PLC, an AiM listed water service company with its main business locatedinthe USA. Heis Chairman of eZilla PLC, an investmentcompany focused on blockchainservicesand non-executive director of Intosol PLC, a luxury holiday company onthe Main List of the LSE
